Carl Jung
“Until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
We all have subconscious beliefs about ourselves, the world or other people that influence our behaviour, without us understanding why. During treatment sessions the occupational therapist will explore these self-limiting beliefs with you, in order for you to understand why we think in these patterns and how to break the cycle of negative thoughts.
Some examples of these thoughts include:
“I’m not good enough.”
“People will always let me down.”
“If I try, I’ll fail, so it’s better not to try.”
“I don’t deserve happiness.”
“The world is unsafe, so I must always be on guard.”
Do you identify with the following statements?
- I notice that my thoughts about myself or others hold me back from living the life I want.
- I sometimes feel stuck in repeating the same negative patterns, even when I try to change.
- I wonder if exploring the hidden beliefs behind my behaviour could help me move forward.
Contact us to make an appointment with a therapist to explore your self-limiting beliefs, how to break the cycle and empower you to move through life with reduced internal barriers and increased fulfilment”
